Sunday am, woke up, packed a backpack and hops up on the LIRR to Long Beach for a day in the sun... Had to leave the downtown Hype Beasts' for a bit... I think I saw one too many outfits that appeared to have it's own generator pumping max wattage and had to step off...
Either way, it was 85-90 degrees of perfect beach weather... Had the deliquent homies Jack & Mel to add to the occasion... Sure, the real estate is mega crowded from the second you step on the train to your 1st foot on the sand... and yes, you have to pay to get on the beach (I suggest coppin' the 'beach pass' at the train station for 18 clams, it includes beach and round trip transportation)... but, if you brush your shoulders off, there's the therapeutic sound of waves, surprisingly clean sand, bikini's and generally good vibes only 1 hr from the city... Plus, if you've ever been in the ocean in the northeast then you know how brick city it is and by August the water temperature is warmer and refreshing...
So, if anyone wants to roll to the beach a time or two before the seasons over hit me ups on the down stroke (pause)...
