My appreciation of The D came to me unexpectedly as my relationship in the Shady family has matured. Detroit's history, it's people, it's struggle, it's aging architecture and even the comfortable suburbs have all impressed me over the past 8 yrs or so... I sometimes wish I was in urban planning as this would be the most interesting project since the development of NYC... Check the linked, Food Desert, article below...
