So, the good homegrrl D Kartz has been making some power moves since returning to her native T Dot a little over a yr ago... She has created GO KARTZ MGMT (genius name btw!) and established herself as a serious tastemaker in the rock/ electro world... Go Kartz is down w Paper Bag Records (whut ups Trevvy Murphy!) and doin the damn thing...
Woodhands, one of Dara's groups, was in the CITY last night and I had the luxury of catching up w/ an old pal and chkin out a new act... They played at Le Royal (formerly Luke & Leroy's) and DID THEIR THING! I was pleasantly suprised by the music... it was FUNKY, DIRTY and POPPY at the same time with thoughtful arrangements... I'm looking forward to stealing their LP off of the interweb and soaking it up! HAHAHA
nah, for reals doe, I just found out tht they have a show tonight @ some spot called National Underground (159 E Houston St)... They go on @ 11pm... chk em out if u can... HELLLLLLL YUP!
oh yea, and homey broke my grandfathers low ball glass so he's forever indebted to me and will be remixing every song, for every one of my artists endentured servant style... LOOK OUT FOR THT! MAJOR SHOUTS TO HALLWAY DAN! HAHAHAHAHAHA HELLLLLL YUP!
