NECK OPENING IN LA

So I'm in LA for the 1st time in a WHILE... Shooting a vid w The KnuX today and their LP photo shoot tomm... Real hectic, real dope...
Anyway, I had a sec to peep the Neckface 'Cannible Carnival' opening @ New Image Gallery in Hollywood last night... The show was as much about lifestyle as it was about his paintings... Inside was a fenced in mini ramp, freshly smashed Tecate cans on the wood floor, skaters and hot-nerd-chics everywhere... I liked the pieces though... Neck's shit was colorfully morbid and really upbeat... He was mixing up settings which is always fun... Nouns that you don't typically find together such as balloons and blood... You think of balloons as festive and blood as danger, trouble, etc.. The show brought a LOT of business to the local 7-11 on Santa Monica @ Hayworth... Since cheap beer is chic and, uh, cheap, I doubt they have anymore... The scene reminded me of NYC... KINDA - in the city u can break a 6 pack and cop a single...
Regardless it was a blast, caught up w some old pals, had a brew and enjoyed the scene... Chk it if you can, runs thru sept 20th...
