I watched a doc on PBS last night called DISHING DEMOCRACY about the affects of Satellite TV in the Arab world... The film was really informative, and I was surprised of how repressed the culture is... Almost every home has a dish and, according to the film, the majority of info from outside the household comes from the 250 channels offered... One of the most popular shows is KALAM NAWAEM , a show based on The View... They explore taboo subjects (especially in their religious culture) from masterbation to 9/11 to divorce... very controversial...

Anyway, watching this show on these amazing women I kinda slipped and fell hard for Ms. Muna Abu-Sulayman ... Besides her physical beauty she is a PHD educated, divorced mother of 2, extremely successful TV personality and devout, forward thinking Muslim... Ok, I'm officially a STAN ... need to snap out of this...
